Konvoy zum No-Border-Camp in Thessaloniki
Vom 15. – 24. Juli findet in Thessalonki, in Griechenland, unweit der mazedonischen Grenze, das diesjährige No-Border-Camp statt.
Für uns gibt es etliche Gründe uns auf den Weg zu machen:
Militär und Polizei an den Innen- und Außengrenzen und die neuen Zäune lassen die Festung Europa immer weniger als Metapher erscheinen. Staaten in denen vielen Menschen Verfolgung droht, werden zu sicheren Herkunftsländer erklärt. Sammelabschiebungen sind an der Tagesordnung. Mit dem NATO-Staat Türkei wird ein menschenverachtender Tauschhandel vereinbart, der der Auswahl der kapitalistisch verwertbarsten Geflüchteten dient. Einigen Wenigen wird die legale Einreise in die EU „erlaubt“, während der allergrößte Teil der nach Europa Flüchtenden in die Illigalität gedrängt und wieder abgeschoben wird.
Während dessen befinden sich rechte Parteien und rassistische Bewegungen europaweit im Aufwind, Asyl- und Sicherheitsgesetze werden verschärft und der Ausnahmezustand zur Normalität.
Gegen all diese unerträglichen Zustände erhoffen wir uns in Thessalonki Gefährt*innen zu finden, mit denen wir uns über Gegenstrategien austauschen und Widerstand organisieren können.
Wir wollen das Camp bereits auf der Anreise beginnen lassen. Das heißt, wir wollen mit vielen Menschen mit PKWs und Bussen einen Konvoy formen, welcher sich Thessalonki auf dem Landweg nähert und unterwegs an verschiedenen Orten Halt macht. Dort wollen wir dann mit lokalen Gruppen gemeinsam Aktionen gegen Grenzen und Rassismus machen, um dem Thema mehr Öffentlichkeit zu verschaffen und um zur Mobilisierung zum Camp beizutragen.

for a Konvoy towards the No Border Camp in Thessaloniki
Between the 15th and 24th of July this years No Border Camp will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, close to the Macedonian border.
For us several reasons are existing to join the camp:
Military, Police and new fences at the inner and outer borders of Europe make the Fortress Europe less and less seem like a metaphor. States where many humans are threatened by persecution are declared as “safe countries”. Mass deportations are a daily phenomena. Together with the NATO state Turkey an cynical agreement on trafficking of humans is made, which only serves the selection of the economical most useful refugees. A legal entry to the EU is “allowed” only for a small amount of those who seek shelter, whereas the absolute majority is deported and so pushed into illegality.
In the same time all around Europe right parties and racist movements are rising, restrictive laws for asylum and security enforced and the state of emergency becomes normality.
Against all of these unbearable conditions we hope to find in Thessaloniki companions, friends and comrades to exchange counter strategies and to organize resistance.
We will start the camp already on the way towards Thessaloniki itself. That means we want to bring many people together to form a self-sufficient Konvoy out of cars and buses to approach Thessaloniki making stops in several places. Here we seek to join local structures in organizing events and political actions against the borders so to mobilize publicity and solidarity for the Camp in Thessaloniki.
